See, I used to love this movie but I’m not sure it’s aged well; the Funny I Don’t Always Stop And Look At Trains Oh Wait Yes I Do Vintage Shirt. Like, the movie is modern enough to know that you can’t just use gay characters as an excuse for a bunch of stereotypical gay jokes, but it’s still old-fashioned enough to not really know what to do instead so the result is instead of gay jokes, we get… ironic, self-aware gay jokes? Like, I get that we’re supposed to be laughing at the homophobic characters in the film, not with them.

If you like Best in Show, Drop Dead Gorgeous has a Funny I Don’t Always Stop And Look At Trains Oh Wait Yes I Do Vintage Shirt. This is Spinal Tap is hands down my favorite movie of all time. Do I say that when acquaintances ask me what my favorite movie is? No. I get that Spinal Tap doesn’t have a broader appeal, but the movie is simply genius. He laughed at a few parts, but definitely not as much as I was cackling.

What I love so much is that it seems like it’s the only Hollywood movie set in the South that not every southern character is a Funny I Don’t Always Stop And Look At Trains Oh Wait Yes I Do Vintage Shirt. Those characters are definitely there (that one witness and the guy who wants to fight Vincent for $200), and they all definitely have their southern drawl accents, but they seemed like actual people with values and motivations just like any other character. They treated that part of the country and its law system with the utmost respect in that film. I bought a suit. You seen it. This town doesn’t have a one-hour cleaner so I had to buy a new suit, except the only store you could buy a new suit in has got the flu. Got that? The whole store got the flu so I had to get this in a second-hand store. So it’s either wear the leather jacket which I know you hate, or this. So I wore this ridiculous thing for you.
