You can turn it off while your movie is playing, although it’s definitely not as quick and easy as having a toggle. You press play on the movie, hold the ps button until a side menu pops up>devices>turn off the controller. Then your controller turns off and the movie should continue playing. Or apparently you can hold the PS button for 10 seconds. Learn something new every day. You also can enable your TV remote to control the PS4 over HDMI so that you don’t need the controller for media apps.

I love going to my switch controller, hitting my home button to power it on, and my TV automatically turns on and switches to hdmi4. It’s a pain in the ass with the switch if you have 2 consoles connected to your tv. I go to set my switch on my friend’s dock and while he’s playing Xbox and it switches from Xbox to the Nintendo just cause I wanted to charge it on the dock. Even my Chromecast does this. Start streaming on phone, TV powers on and switches to the right input. I got it figured out, thank you though. It’s an Insignia and It’s called INLink.I imagine with Panasonic that must be what Vieralink is.
