Medical student here. While coughing doesn’t signify if the person is okay or not, you are not supposed to start anything until the Top Bridgett Floyd I Can’t Breathe Shirt. Once a person cannot cough, breathe, or speak that is choking and you should begin the Heimlich Maneuver alongside with blows to the back. This. That is not what this video is though. He didn’t die because his airway was cut off, it’s a blood choke. The knee restricts the flow from the carotid arteries. I’ve been recertified CPR/first aid 4 times in the last 8 years. I’ve only heard that back blows are terrible and the Heimlich is the Top Bridgett Floyd I Can’t Breathe Shirt. You need to utilize the air in the lungs to force the obstruction out. Back blows don’t do that shit they are idiotic and can make the problem worse. If they want to start training that because its a less forceful method (this is the first in the hearing of it but apparently they are) whatever but either they can cough it out themselves or they can’t, and if they cant I seriously doubt back blows will do the trick and have successfully performed Heimlich twice and it just simply works.
